Director of Clinical Services (RN)
Hospice of the Golden Isles is seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Clinical Services (RN) to provide leadership and oversight of our hospice clinical programs. This key leadership role is responsible for ensuring exceptional patient and family care, regulatory compliance, quality improvement initiatives, and the effective management of clinical operations across home care and inpatient services.
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director of Clinical Services oversees nursing, admissions, social work, chaplain services, medical records, clinical compliance, and quality assurance programs. The position serves as the primary clinical liaison to the Medical Director and assumes operational leadership in the absence of the Executive Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all hospice clinical services and patient care operations.
- Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, state, federal, HIPAA, and accreditation standards.
- Direct Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives.
- Manage clinical staffing, scheduling, orientation, training, and performance development.
- Oversee admissions, interdisciplinary care planning, and utilization review processes.
- Collaborate with leadership to drive clinical excellence and operational efficiency.
- Represent Hospice of the Golden Isles within the healthcare community and serve as a resource for staff, patients, and families.
- Participate in administrative on-call responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Current Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Minimum of 5 years of hospice leadership/supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of hospice regulations, Medicare/Medicaid compliance, QAPI, and clinical operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team development skills.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office.
- Certification in Hospice and Palliative Nursing preferred.
- CPR certification required.
Schedule & Travel
- Full-time, Monday-Friday.
- Administrative on-call rotation required.
- Travel throughout the service area and occasional attendance at professional conferences and meetings.
